A strong portfolio is not complete without a few solid content pages, such as an about page, services page, contact page… Fortunately Silverio includes a few page templates that will make your life easier.

Default page template

The default page template includes a sidebar which provides a local navigation. It will show every page and subpage up to the root page, and highlight the current page. This is the template being used by this very page, by the way.

Full width page template

For cases where you don’t need a side navigation, you also get a full width page template. The “wpautop” filter has been removed in this template, which means that WordPress will not automatically add <p> tags to your content. This gives you a lot more control on your content, and lets you use the grid shortcode to build complex layouts.

The feature pages are a good example of this page template

Contact page template

This template gives you a fully functional contact form. There’s no plugin to install, all you need to do is select the template and then put your email (i.e. the email you want the contact form to be sent to) inside a custom field named “my_email“.

The page’s content will appear just above the contact form.
